We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Agile Business/Functional Analyst to play a critical role in a key system development and integration project. This role requires a professional with proven expertise in Agile methodologies, deep experience in requirements documentation, and exceptional stakeholder management skills to ensure successful project delivery from concept to User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following, demonstrating practical and workable approaches to project execution:

Requirements & Design Documentation

  • Develop and document business requirements, functional designs, and technical specifications using user stories, acceptance criteria, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Create visual aids, including wireframes, screen mock-ups, and process flows, to clearly communicate design intent and functional requirements to technical and business teams.
  • Develop System Integration Specifications to guide technical teams on connecting new and existing systems.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Facilitate and lead workshops and meetings with diverse groups, including business stakeholders, end-users, technical staff, and Product Owners.
  • Negotiate priorities, scope, and technical options with all stakeholders to achieve desired project outcomes while managing expectations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the business and development teams, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment on project goals.

Process & System Improvement

  • Lead process re-engineering efforts, including the meticulous capturing of business processes in both 'as-is' and 'to-be' states using detailed process flow diagrams.
  • Assist with solution showcasing to stakeholders and actively support end-users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the final system meets business needs.

Required Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate must demonstrate proven experience in the following areas, aligning with our selection criteria:

Agile Expertise

  • Proven, extensive experience providing Agile business analysis/functional analysis services within complex project environments.

Requirements Documentation

  • Extensive experience with contemporary requirements documentation techniques, specifically writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and creating visual artifacts like wireframes and screen mock-ups.

Leadership & Negotiation

  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating and influencing diverse groups of business stakeholders, users, technical staff, and Product Owners to ensure project consensus and successful outcomes.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead workshops and work directly with solution stakeholders to elicit, define, and validate requirements.

Technical & Process Skills

  • Experience in undertaking process re-engineering initiatives, including the ability to accurately capture 'as-is' and 'to-be' business processes via detailed flows.
  • Practical experience in defining and documenting System Integration Specifications.
  • Experience in showcasing system solutions and hands-on participation in assisting and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Project Implementation, Management, and Monitoring Approach

We require the Analyst to execute the project using a practical, workable, and iterative approach, ensuring visibility and control:

  • Implementation: Utilize an Agile framework (e.g., Scrum/Kanban) to deliver functionality in short, iterative cycles (Sprints). This involves continuous collaboration, frequent feedback loops, and incremental system build-out.
  • Management: Requirements will be managed in a tool (e.g., Jira/Confluence), maintaining a prioritized Product Backlog aligned with the Product Owner's vision. Scope changes will be managed through a structured change request process to protect sprint integrity.
  • Monitoring: Progress will be monitored through standard Agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and tracking key metrics such as Burndown Charts and velocity. This ensures transparency and timely identification of risks or deviations from the planned trajectory.
