Our Emergency Services client requires a dynamic and ambitious Business Analyst to undertake the investigation, collation, analysis and evaluation of Program and Project issues including policies, practices and/or procedures. This is to identify relevant factors and initiatives and provide recommendations for consideration and further action.
This is a great opportunity for an up and coming Business Analyst with up to 5 years experience who is a strong combination of technical skills and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
About you
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Conduct research and analysis of business and ICT needs, and document related operational, functional, and technical requirements/ changes.
- Actively consult with all relevant stakeholders, subject matter experts and key technical staff across relevant programs, projects and business units and participate in requirement workshops, surveys, interviews, site visits and document reviews.
- Carry out assigned project activities in alignment with project schedule and/or as directed.
- Assist the Project Manager (PM) in identifying, raising, and capturing project risks and issues.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on project milestones, problems and/or solutions to help ensure that performance indicators/milestones are met within resource and budget constraints.
- Carry out quality assurance of processes as required.
- Conduct Business Architecture Model, Business Process/Story Map, Business Implementation Roadmap and Business Readiness Review.
Requirements:
- 5+ years work experience Business Analyst/Technical Business Analyst.
- Demonstrated experience of designing, building, and populating financial models.
- Knowledge of financial modelling and experience in using financial modelling tools. (not a must have)
- Experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Visio.
- Previous experience working as a Business Analyst on system implementation.
- Demonstrated experience writing business requirement documents using formal methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in business process mapping (current and future state)
- Demonstrated experience in successfully capturing business requirements.
- Proven experience in risk management.
- Understanding of WA Emergency Services delivery and Project Management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2) desirable
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, and the ability to drive deliverables to timely completion.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather and analyse complex data and identify effective solutions including numerical analysis.
- Familiarisation of agile principles.
