About the Role
As a Change Manager, you will play a crucial role in minimizing the adverse effects of organizational changes and optimizing positive outcomes. Your primary focus will be on the human aspect of changehelping individuals adapt, identifying the impact of change, preparing teams, and managing resistance.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing a change strategy and management plans that integrate into overall project and operational frameworks. Your role will include executing these plans and activities to ensure smooth transitions across the organization.
This position has a preference to be based on Canberra, but we are also open to Melbourne / Sydney.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Apply recognized Change Management techniques and methodologies.
- Develop and execute an effective Change Management strategy.
- Coach managers and project teams on Change Management best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and understand the risk matrix.
- Perform business readiness assessments, pre-live, and post-live evaluations for projects.
- Design and implement communication plans to drive change adoption.
- Develop and support the rollout of a training strategy.
Requirements and Experience
Mandatory Experience
- Experience and knowledge of how to adapt change management principles, methodologies, and tools to design fit-for-purpose change plans.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills, with the ability to establish relationships and communicate at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven credentials in facilitating the development and implementation of effective change and communication plans, as well as impact/readiness assessments.
- Baseline AGSVA clearance minimum, NV1 preferred.
Desired Experience / Knowledge
- Experience working in ICT projects and programs (highly desirable if in the cyber security field).
- Previous experience in leading and supporting projects and programs.
- Passionate about bringing people along the journey, overcoming complex challenges, and building strong relationships to reach project outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and managerial skills.
