About the role

We are looking for a Command Centre Operator to join our team in our Western Sydney Data Centre for Fujitsu. The Command Centre provides 24 x 7 services to Fujitsu Data Centres and their clients. This includes monitoring of data centre systems including but not limited to BMS, Security, internal ticketing as well as providing 1st level phone and email client support, 1st level data centre portal support, data centre access as well as internal and external notifications.

This role is working on a shift roster pattern, the team provides 24X7 coverage. Shift work will consist of:

  • 2 x 12-hour day shifts.
  • 2 x 12-hour night shifts followed by 4 days off.
  • 20% shift allowance on top of Total Remuneration Package.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Customer Support:

Provide timely and professional support to data centre clients as directed including:

  • DC Access Forms
  • DC Equipment Movement Forms
  • DC Authority Matrices
  • Logging and escalation of client incidents
  • Logging and tracking of client requests (e.g., remote hands)
  • 1st level support for the online DC Portal
  • Monitoring data centre systems nationally and managing/escalating as appropriate
  • Coordinating communications and issuing notifications internally and externally
  • Communications Coordination and issuing of data centre notifications both internal to Fujitsu and external to clients

Data Centre Support:

Provide timely and professional support to data centre staff as directed including:

  • DC access queries
  • 1st level support for the online DC Portal
  • Tracking & escalation of DC incidents, service requests & change orders
  • Lenel security administration

Documentation:

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure the use of the latest versions.

BCP:

  • Act as a conduit between Fujitsu DC staff and clients during emergencies, assisting with message escalation and responding to queries.

Security:

  • Ensure data confidentiality and security.
  • Promote staff awareness of customer-specific security policies.
  • Adhere to FANZ Security policies to protect information and technology resources.

Certification:

  • Maintain awareness of all data centre certifications and understand the roles and responsibilities of a CC Operator in relation to those certifications.

Requirements and Experience

  • Previous experience within a Data Centre Environment.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Problem solving and decision-making capabilities.
