We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Consultant to join our high-performing AI & Data team, independently designing and developing IT solutions for complex challenges in data engineering, data modelling, and data visualization. It requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to solve complex problems with minimal guidance from senior stakeholders. The role may also involve managing a small team of developers on low-complexity projects or specific components of larger initiatives
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Overseeing the end-to-end design and development of modern data platform and AI solutions.
- May assume complete responsibility for technical input, designing and developing smaller solutions, or undertake complex or more significant development activities within a larger project led by a more senior consultant.
- Shapes technical proposals to be commercially acceptable to the customer and may make solution/service trade-offs.
- Defines the approach for smaller solution development and acceptance testing, controlling technical scope and the work of a small design and development team to ensure an acceptable cost structure.
- Expectation the role holder collaborates with relevant customer stakeholders to establish relationship within account to demonstrate capability and experience on behalf of Fujitsu AI & Data.
- Apply best practice concepts relating to:
- Lakehouse/ Datalake / Data warehousing.
- IoT, data ingestion and stream analytics.
- Agile/ Scrum.
- Contributes to definition of customers overall IT architecture, designing new solutions of significant size and complexity, and can manage the work of junior specialists contributing to the design and implementation.
- Shares knowledge with colleagues and makes useful additions to the Fujitsu knowledge base.
- Contributes to bid and pre-sales activities relating to own areas of expertise.
- As required, leads small team (3-4 people) in single domain.
- Alert to opportunities for follow-on business and communicates identified new business opportunities for Fujitsu.
- Study and remain up to date with relevant technological change and obtain certifications in skills used within the Fujitsu AI & Data team as agreed with your mentor.
Requirements:
- Data Engineer/ Data Visualization specialist skills
- Outstanding technical skills ensuring your deliver value out of the underlying technology
- Development experience in at least two of:
- Databricks or Spark
- Terraform IaC CI/CD
- ETL development
- Medallion/Gold Layer model development
- Good understanding of Data Modelling and Data Integration
- Strong SQL
- Excellent stakeholder management ability
- Agile delivery methodology experience
- Understanding of Data warehousing concepts
