Client Advisory Services Accounting Director

Overview:

Our client is hiring for a CAS Accounting Director to lead client relationships, deliver insightful financial guidance, and drive growth through specialized advisory services. This position involves managing a dedicated accounting team and ensuring accuracy and excellence in client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and lead accounting staff to ensure exceptional client service and accurate, timely work.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact, conducting client meetings and advising on financial performance, strategies, and growth opportunities.
  • Quality Assurance: Review financial statements, tax returns, and accounting documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Advisory and Analysis: Provide financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning tailored to each client's needs.
  • Business Development: Proactively identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships and secure new advisory clients.
  • Tax Expertise: Leverage comprehensive knowledge of tax regulations applicable to various business entities, including trusts, partnerships, and corporations.
  • Compliance: Maintain current knowledge of accounting standards and tax laws to provide relevant, up-to-date client solutions.
  • Project Coordination: Develop and implement structured service plans that align with both client objectives and organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA certification preferred but not mandatory)
  • Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience, specifically in client advisory services
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks (both online and desktop versions) and Microsoft Excel
  • Payroll management experience, including addressing IRS notices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple client relationships and priorities
