About the Role:
The Systems Engineering role supports the design, development, and optimization of core server platforms and system architectures. It helps ensure infrastructure reliability, scalability, and performance while supporting critical operations. This hands-on role is ideal for professionals looking to grow their expertise in operating systems, system design, performance management, incident response, and cross-functional collaboration across infrastructure, cloud, network, and security teams.
This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days per week in the office and 2 days working remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design, build, and maintenance of operating system platforms, including system configurations, images, and lifecycle. management (patching, upgrades, version control).
- Assist in developing automation tools, scripts, and provisioning frameworks to reduce manual work and improve consistency.
- Monitor system performance (CPU, memory, storage, I/O), assist in root-cause analysis, and support high availability efforts.
- Participate in modernization initiatives (e.g., cloud integration, containerization) and help evaluate new technologies.
- Assist with capacity planning, risk assessments, and compliance with security and configuration standards.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of incidents, ensuring proper documentation and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Cloud, Network, Security, SysAdmin) under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Help maintain technical documentation and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- 1–4 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, or related roles
- Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux systems, including fundamental system architecture concepts.
- Some exposure to performance monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with automation, scripting, or system provisioning tools.
- Awareness of security best practices (hardening, least privilege) and compliance standards.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, virtualization, or hybrid environments is a plus.
- Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across teams.
- Willingness to learn incident management practices in production environments.
- Eagerness for continuous learning and professional growth in evolving technologies.
