About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Linux Server Administrator to support and maintain server infrastructure in a hands-on technical environment. The successful candidate will have strong Linux administration skills and be comfortable working directly with servers, troubleshooting issues, and supporting deployment and operational processes.
This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days per week in the office and 2 days working remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers.
- Support server deployment, provisioning, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability; assist with root-cause analysis and incident resolution.
- Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, and network connectivity issues.
- Assist in developing automation scripts and provisioning tools to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Support operating system platform design, configuration management, and high-availability initiatives.
- Participate in cloud, containerization, and infrastructure modernization projects.
- Assist with capacity planning, security compliance, risk assessments, and configuration standards.
- Collaborate with Cloud, Network, Security, and Systems teams to implement changes and resolve issues.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing and process improvement.
Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, or related roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux server administration.
- Solid knowledge of server hardware, operating systems, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in on-premises or hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Some exposure to performance monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with automation, scripting, or system provisioning tools.
- Awareness of security best practices (hardening, least privilege) and compliance standards.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, virtualization, or hybrid environments is a plus.
- Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across teams.
- Willingness to learn incident management practices in production environments.
- Eagerness for continuous learning and professional growth in evolving technologies.
