About the Role

The client is seeking a highly capable and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join as a founding member or late co-founder in a hybrid remote capacity. This role requires someone with a strong startup mentality, excellent operational skills, and the ability to make sound judgments and decisions. The COO will be a key player in executing the companys vision, driving growth, and building operational frameworks that support scalable expansion. The role offers flexibility to work remotely, with periodic travel to Bali as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
  • Collaborate closely with the founding team to define and execute strategic priorities.
  • Establish and refine operational processes to support rapid growth and fundraising efforts.
  • Exercise strong ownership, agency, and sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Act as a key leader to shape company culture and operational excellence.
  • Support scaling efforts through effective project management and team coordination.
  • Manage external relationships and partnerships where necessary.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in COO, Product Management, or Chief Strategy Officer roles within startups or fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively with a startup mindsetflexible, proactive, and solution-oriented.
  • Strong leadership skills with a history of taking ownership and driving results.
  • Excellent decision-making and judgment abilities.
  • Comfortable with a compensation structure that is initially equity-heavy, with potential for cash compensation growth.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically to Bali.
  • Ability to thrive in a lean startup environment with evolving priorities.
