Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of our database systems. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical expertise and strategic policy development to maintain high-performance data environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and optimize performance of MySQL and MariaDB databases
• Conduct data quality assessments and implement data cleansing strategies
• Establish and uphold database security protocols to mitigate risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data systems with business goals
• Develop and deliver reports on database scalability, performance, and compliance
• Implement tools for real-time monitoring and anomaly detection

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in database governance, administration, or performance tuning
• Proficiency in relational databases, scripting, and query optimization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Knowledge of data lifecycle and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., ADPPA, GDPR)
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau is a plus
