Job Summary:
The role is responsible for operating and maintaining advanced bindery equipment, ensuring high standards of product quality and operational efficiency. This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and support production Technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate stitching and perfect binding machines in alignment with production specifications
Perform preventive maintenance and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Oversee product quality throughout the bindery process and make necessary adjustments
Supervise and train assigned Technicians, ensuring task completion and adherence to standards
Identify and resolve equipment and process issues to minimize downtime
Communicate production challenges and machine performance feedback to leadership
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Proven experience with bindery or stitching machinery in a production environment
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to apply logical reasoning to solve technical issues
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and respond to urgent production needs
