About the Role:

The Master Legal Counsel (Project Focus) will provide high-level legal advice and guidance on all aspects of project execution, ensuring that project contracts and compliance adhere to local and international laws, such as GDPR. This role demands extensive expertise in contract law and regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the review, negotiation, and drafting of all project-related contracts, including vendor agreements, partnership contracts, and service agreements.
  • Provide expert legal counsel to project teams and senior management on all legal matters related to project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with complex legal regulations, including intellectual property, data privacy, and international laws.
  • Advise on legal risk management strategies and handle disputes related to contract execution or project-related legal matters.
  • Collaborate with compliance officers and project managers to ensure projects are in full legal compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain records of all legal documentation related to projects, ensuring all agreements are legally binding and enforceable.
  • Establish partnerships with local legal professionals to handle jurisdiction specific requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 10 years of Legal Counsel experience, 
  • Specializing in contract law and project-based legal matters.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree
  • Expertise in international legal frameworks, regulatory compliance, and project specific legal issues.
  • Exceptional negotiation and contract drafting skills.
  • Deep understanding of international law, compliance, and intellectual property matters.
  • Ability to identify legal risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Flexible to work across different time zones and to travel for business.
  • International experience with a background in working across different
    countries.
  • Native English, with two additional languages as a plus
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies, including Scrum.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with efficiency and effectively manage remote teams.
