About the Role:

The Vice President of Public Relations will lead four core departments: Public Relations & Campaigns, Public Events & Services, Strategic Alliances & Affiliates, and the Success Department. This executive position also includes a seat on the Advisory Council, where the VP will provide strategic insights that shape the future of the company. The role demands a visionary leader with proven PR expertise, crisis management skills, and strong industry connections, particularly within the supplements or health and wellness sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand Strategy & Messaging: Develop and oversee a comprehensive PR strategy aligned with company goals, ensuring consistent messaging across media relations, influencer partnerships, and reputation management.
  • Campaigns & Events: Direct large-scale campaigns and events to amplify product value, strengthen culture, and expand public exposure.
  • Crisis Communications: Build and implement a crisis communication plan to protect brand trust and minimize risks.
  • Strategic Alliances: Manage ambassador and corporate partner programs, ensuring consistent brand representation and expanded reach.
  • Customer Advocacy: Collaborate with Marketing and CX teams to highlight customer success stories, enhance referrals, and drive brand advocacy.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Coach and develop department directors, facilitate professional growth, and lead performance planning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Legal, Finance, HR, Product, and the Executive Council for unified execution.
  • Performance Tracking: Define and report KPIs on sentiment analysis, media performance, campaign results, and referral growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in public relations, corporate communications, or brand strategy.
  • Demonstrated success in managing media, campaigns, and teams in mission-driven organizations.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling and strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate complex goals into clear public narratives.
  • Deeply committed to purpose-driven leadership, empowering teams, uplifting brand integrity, and improving lives through meaningful engagement.

Nice to Have:

  • Proven skills in crisis management, digital marketing, media training, and public speaking, with 1+ year in each.
  • Proficient in analytics tools used for sentiment analysis, media performance tracking, and customer engagement insights.
  • Hands-on experience with key platforms in our tech stack, including Meltwater, Five9, Shopify, Gorgias, and Tableau.
  • Proven background in public relations within the supplements or health and wellness industry.
  • Skilled in planning and executing large-scale corporate events from concept to completion.
  • Extensive health & wellness experience with a strong industry network.
