About the Client:
The client is a U.S.-based company that creates customized AI automation solutions and software for businesses. The team works across multiple client projects, turning manual processes into scalable workflows, internal tools, and practical AI-powered applications.
About the Role:
We are looking for a resourceful AI Automation Virtual Assistant with hands-on experience using Claude Code, Codex, or similar AI coding agents. You will build automations, lightweight applications, and AI workflows across multiple client projects. This is not a traditional software development role and does not require a formal computer science background. It is ideal for someone who combines technical confidence, process-oriented thinking, and independent problem-solving.
Work arrangement: Full-time, hybrid in Curitiba, Brazil
Schedule: Monday to Friday, generally from 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Brasília time. Hours may shift by one hour during U.S. daylight saving time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Turn manual processes and SOPs into automated AI workflows and reusable skills.
- Build lightweight applications, internal tools, and project-specific automations using Claude Code.
- Orchestrate AI agents and subagents to execute, review, and validate tasks at scale.
- Integrate external tools and services through MCP, APIs, and JSON configurations.
- Automate activities such as lead enrichment, web data extraction, document research, and email organization.
- Test, troubleshoot, and improve workflows through structured feedback and iteration.
- Manage context usage, model selection, token consumption, and API costs.
- Deploy simple applications, workflows, static pages, and API endpoints using platforms such as Netlify or Modal.
- Manage multiple client projects and adapt quickly to different workflows and business needs.
Qualifications:
- Fluent English, with confidence participating in daily conversations with a U.S.-based team.
- Hands-on experience using Claude Code, Codex, or another agentic AI coding tool in a development environment. Candidates must already be comfortable with these tools.
- Comfortable using terminals, command-line tools, file directories, and IDEs such as VS Code.
- Able to read technical documentation and work with basic APIs and JSON configurations.
- Strong process-oriented thinking, with the ability to break complex goals into clear, testable steps.
- Independent, resourceful, and comfortable troubleshooting, testing, and refining AI-generated workflows.
- Adaptable, curious, and open to learning the client's internal processes.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, or n8n.
- Background in technical support, QA, data analysis, operations, or technical virtual assistance.
- Familiarity with MCP servers, subagents, agent teams, Markdown-based skills, or context management.
- Personal AI automation projects, a GitHub portfolio, certifications, videos, or other evidence of self-directed learning.
