Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Contract Administrator based in Saudi Arabia. The Contract Administrator will draft, review, negotiate, and administer a broad range of commercial and operational contracts across Front End's industrial and marine portfolio, ensuring full compliance with company policy, Saudi commercial and maritime law, and applicable international standards.
A central focus of this role is Front End's marine and offshore operations. The successful candidate will bring hands-on familiarity with maritime and offshore contracting — including BIMCO standard forms, charter parties, vessel and service agreements, and related maritime documentation — and apply it directly to active offshore projects and fleet operations.
Working in close coordination with procurement, finance, legal, and operations teams, the Contract Administrator will monitor contract performance, manage variations and claims, and proactively identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risk. The role demands strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless contract execution, protect the company's commercial interests, and support its broader strategic objectives in a fast-moving, innovation-led environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and administer commercial, operational, and marine contracts across Front End's portfolio, with particular emphasis on offshore and maritime agreements
- Manage BIMCO standard forms, charter parties, and vessel and service agreements throughout their full lifecycle, from tender through close-out
- Ensure all contracts comply with company policy, Saudi commercial and maritime law, and applicable international standards
- Monitor contract performance and milestones, administer variations, claims, and amendments, and maintain accurate contract records and registers
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks, including liabilities, indemnities, and knock-for-knock exposures
- Coordinate closely with procurement, finance, legal, and operations teams to support seamless execution and protect commercial interests
- Manage relationships and correspondence with external counterparties, owners, charterers, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Support dispute resolution and claims management, escalating significant issues with clear recommendations to management
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in contract negotiation and management, including complex commercial and operational agreements
- Solid working knowledge of BIMCO standard contracts (charter parties, offshore and marine service agreements, supply and towage forms such as SUPPLYTIME and TOWCON) and established marine contracting practices
- Strong understanding of maritime and offshore contracting principles — including risk allocation, liabilities, indemnities, knock-for-knock regimes, and claims management
- Familiarity with Saudi commercial and maritime law, relevant regulatory frameworks, and contractual compliance requirements
- Strong analytical skills to review, interpret, and manage detailed contract terms and conditions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external counterparties
- Experience supporting multi-sector or industrial operations (energy, offshore, or marine projects) is a strong advantage
- Experience in procurement and supply-chain contracting is highly beneficial
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field
- Prior experience in contract administration, legal, or commercial roles — ideally within marine, offshore, or industrial sectors — is preferred
- Proficiency in contract management systems and the Microsoft Office Suite
- High attention to detail and the ability to perform under tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
