Environmental - Chief Coord., Env. Awareness

Basic Function:

Control the performance of environmental Public Awareness and Education Program in cooperation with educational institutions, regarding PTFI environmental programs, community environmental programs, and community 3R (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) programs, and Perform as Environmental spokesperson to all external parties in coordination with relevant parties (e.g. Corporate Communication) in order to improve their understanding and acceptance toward environmental programs, policies and its related issues.

Job Responsibility :

1. Develop and establish communication plan in coordinate with internal and external relevant parties (e.g. Corporate Communications, government agencies, etc.) as guidance to increase public and stakeholders awareness on PTFI's environmental issues.
2. Execute environmental awareness events (e.g., clean city, earth day, environmental day, bird watching, Working With Youth (WWY) etc.), in coordination with relevant parties (e.g., GovRel, CorCom, Local Community, etc.) in order to increase environmental awareness among PTFI's communities.
3. Facilitate community and school 3R programs in order to achieve department goal in effective and efficient manner.
4. Seek, analyze, and prepare draft statement based on data regarding environmental programs, policies and its related issues to provide information and recommendation for decision making and to ensure that information received by external parties is accurate.
5. Evaluate and recommend on community and school 3R (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) programs to ensure 3R programs can be improved continuously in effective and efficient manner.
6. Maintain coordination with other Department Sections, other departments, institutions and communities in the implementation of Public Awareness and Environmental Education programs in order to gain support.
7. Provide logistic and materials including teaching schedule required for the programs to ensure that all material required are well managed.
8. Record all data and/or report related with the programs and make proper analysis and provide report to relevant parties in order to evaluate programs so that it will perform continuous improvement.
9. Provide inputs regarding environmental communication tools, environmental publications and environmental curriculum for students to achieve department goals in effective and efficient manner.
10. Organize and liaise with relevant parties (e.g. GovRel) on field trips as required for environmental education programs.
11. Guide, monitor, and control safety and environmental practices in the work area ensuring safe work practices within the group and compliance with company Safety and Environmental SOPs.

The key challenges in this position include :

• Further investigation on environmental education program proposals in order to have cost benefit analysis. Keep monitoring environmental issues in Indonesia to anticipate issues emerging related to company's interests. The incumbent must be proactive to follow and monitor local or national news.
• Maintain good communication with relevant departments and institutions.

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are :

Minimum Education & Experience : Bachelor's degree (S1) in Environmental related science or Education with at least 5 years working experience in various environmental awareness programs.
