Plan, Organize, control, and monitor all Engineering and Construction Project activities pertaining to concentrate and fuel pipelines areas and associated infrastructures including the development of the budget in order to support operations by making sure that slurry is efficiently and effectively transported from Mile 74 to Portsite, Dried and Stored in the barn and finally to be Loaded and Shipped the product safely. Daily Fuel Operation is piped to HL and LL area to be used for running equipment to support production and timely distributed within mine areas, residence areas and the other area within PT. Freeport Property.

Job Responsibility:

  1. Direct and communicate company's safety and environmental culture according to policies and procedures in order to ensure subordinates perform their duties in a safe manner and environmentally conscious manner.
  2. Site Supervision: The Superintendent is responsible for on-site management, ensuring that work is carried out according to plans and specifications. They oversee subcontractors, ensure safety protocols are followed, and address any on-site issues promptly. 
  3. Plan work and coordination with support project Engineers and to include subordinate periodically and focus on continuous improvement for Sustaining Safe Production of our Operation. 
  4. Schedule Management: Managing the project schedule is a core function of the Superintendent. They must coordinate with various teams to ensure that tasks are completed on time, identify potential delays, and take proactive measures to keep the project on track.
  5. Review and approve project scope and related technical standards, codes and specification in order to determine the most appropriate engineering design for the project through a good coordination and communication with client or other relevant department in term to define the clear project scope. 
  6. Works proactively to set end-user expectation to assure a smooth project including acceptance of project delivery. 
  7. Review and approved cost estimate, project schedule as a project guideline, review and justify AFE to support with the complete and realistic justification to obtain Management Approval for project implementation. 
  8. Quality Control: The Superintendent plays a key role in ensuring that work meets quality standards. They conduct inspections, address any deficiencies, and work to deliver a final product that meets or exceeds our client's expectations.
  9. Plans, monitors, and controls project activities, proactively to maximize cash flow. 
  10. Understands critical path scheduling and assures a minimum but sufficient project float and understands risks as well as what may be causing a change in risk exposure and actions to avoid and mitigate.
  11. Budget Oversight: Keeping the project within budget is essential, and the Superintendent plays a crucial role in monitoring and controlling costs. They must track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and communicate effectively with the project management team.
  12. Understands and use Full Cost Calculation or Model and different revenue recognition methods. 
  13. Team Leadership: As a leader on the project site, the Superintendent must motivate and guide the project team to achieve goals efficiently and effectively. They must foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and address any conflicts that may arise.
  14. Taking Leading Role on Projects and Capital Projects on the existing and future projects with communicating with third party Engineering and Construction or EPC team to include Nola/Phoenix from project initiation to execution.

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of higher degree in Engineering and Project Management, or related field with an excess of 10 years of experiences in Engineering and Project Management. Prefer Electrical/Mechanical and Civil.
  • Experience in Project Management and Controls Experience and sufficient background to manage and track multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle and to control multi-million-dollar EPCM projects to include material control, schedule and cost.
  • Ability to interpret long-term mine plans and their relationship to current and future processing equipment requirement.
  • Ability to supervise human resources and to provide guidance on personnel management relate to overall project schedule and execution modules.
  • Ability to manage Capital Expenditure and Operation Expenditure Projects.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and manage the calmness workplace.
  • Good computer skill emphasizing in project schedule and cost software.
  • Excellent in oral and written communication skills.
  • Good English and other language as additional value beside native Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Highly proactive and high-quality result oriented refer to standard.
  • Focused on customer satisfaction.
