Job Responsibility :

  1. Create accurate schedule of sampling, SPM and thermograph data collection for performing accurate equipment condition monitoring.
  2. Perform the equipment condition monitoring based on the schedule and accurately measure the SPM and vibration levels and ensure accurate oil sampling to get accurate data for analysis, and in some cases when oil sampling is done by the mechanics, ensure accurate sampling to get accurate data for analysis.
  3. Analyze the results of sampling and data collection accurately, including synchronizing various standard PdM technology to produce comprehensive analysis results and recommendation for maintenance.
  4. Coordinate with laboratory personnel, planners, mechanics and other related maintenance personnel regarding anomaly results of oil sampling, necessary action for cost effective maintenance to ensure accurate analysis based on analysis result.
  5. Create and maintain analysis results data base to ensure accurate documentation as well as create and monitor trend of both analyses result data and other data for critical equipments to be used as maintenance recommendation reference.
  6. Follow up all requests from mechanics and other sections satisfactorily to ensure the continuing operation of the equipments.
  7. Evaluate and develop safety procedures of equipment condition monitoring process that oil sampling, SPM measure, vibration measure, and thermography to ensure safe and cost effective works.
  8. Conduct failure analysis to provide accurate information for maintenance and actively support mechanics to solve possible problems to ensure cost effective equipment maintenance.
  9. Guide, perform, monitor and control the implementation of safety standards and procedures within working areas to ensure the safety and environmental implementation according and zero tolerance of accident.

The key challenges in this position include :

  • Capability to make accurate analysis, make accurate recommendation, and provide solution for cost effective equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to data analysis results from various sources to determine machine condition.
  • Ability to work with mechanics who have no background of the condition monitoring process to change their paradigm.

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are :

  • University Degree (S1) in mechanical engineering or the equivalence with 3 years minimum experience in mechanical maintenance.
  • Undergraduate Diploma (D3) in mechanical engineering or the equivalence with 5 year minimum experience in mechanical maintenance.
