Central Services - Superintendent, Architectural Engineering

Basic Function :

Plan, organize, and control architectural group efficiently and effectively in providing excellent architectural engineering design services, including draft/sketch, schedule, AFE, manual, and detail design preparation, cost calculation and estimation, and material procurement for all jobsite area, in order to ensure the achievement of the customers' needs and rquirements within the budget and time frame according to company's policies and procedures.

Job Responsibility :

1. Plan, organize, and control architectural engineering group efficiently and effectively in providing excellent architectural engineering design services, including standard and operating procedures development, and operation improvement, in order to ensure the achievement of the customers' objectives and compliance to company's policies and procedures.
2. Supervise, monitor, control, and approve subordinates projects, including its engineering drawing, design schedule, quality, cost estimation, and technical aspects, in order to ensure all project objectives meet the requirements, standards, schedule and allocated budget.
3. Approve material take-off (MTO) and review purchase direct charge material (long lead items) c/w specification attached which provided by subordinates, in order to ensure all material needed for the project will be available according to the project schedule and meet with allocated budget.
4. Develop annual project plan, including the budget, schedule and master schedule, material, and manpower, in order to provide activity guideline for the forthcoming year.
5. Plan architectural engineering group activity to provide guidance for periodic (weekly, monthly) activities.
6. Lead engineering team consisting of architectural, mechanical, and civil & structural engineering and liaise with cost control and scheduling Superintendent, as a Project Engineer, handling projects to meet the project objectives compliance with company's strategy.
7. Build and maintain communication with Vendor, in order to ensure the material needed and its after sales services will be obtained according to the projects' requirements and standards.
8. Develop generic example/standard of architectural engineering design that can be used in every projects, in order to teach engineers and increase group efficiency.
9. Develop subordinates' mental to focus on mining operation, and teach and coach subordinates how to design, in order to develop focused and reliable human resources within the group.
10. Develop Staff development plan within the architectural engineering group to ensure the improvement of employees' capabilities in order to meet the group objectives.
11. Communicate, organize, and control the implementation of company's safety and environmental policies and procedures, in order to ensure subordinates perform their duties in a safe manner and environmentally conscious.

The key challenges in this position include:

• To develop architectural engineering design starting from a very few information from client to a final detail engineering design in a very short time. This accountability requires in-depth and broad engineering knowledge, and also strong communication and project management skills.
• To provide information on field engineer inquiries. This accountability requires in-depth and broad knowledge in architectural engineering and field construction, and also strong communication skill.
• To get alternative material with limited time and material availability. This accountability requires in-depth and broad knowledge in architectural engineering and field construction, and also strong communication skill.
• Job requirements priority.

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Minimum Education and Experience

• S1 degree in Architectural Engineering Professional Management Project (PMP) and or S2 Management Business Administration
• Experience in Project and Architectural Design Engineering minimum 10 years. Preferable in Mining and or Oil Company
