Corporate Associate/Transactional Attorney

 Job Description:

Leading collaborative law firm is seeking a Corporate Attorney with 3 to 7 years of significant transactional experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Transactional Work: Lead and support complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and restructurings.
  • General Corporate Matters: Advise clients on a variety of corporate governance issues, regulatory compliance, contract drafting, and other business-related legal needs.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and provide strategic, business-oriented legal advice that aligns with their objectives.
  • Drafting & Negotiation: Prepare, review, and negotiate agreements and other legal documents with precision and a focus on mitigating risk and maximizing outcomes for clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other attorneys in the firm, mentoring junior associates and contributing to the development of the corporate practice group.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years (and up to 7 years) of meaningful experience in mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.
  • Skills: Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Academic Background: A strong academic record from a respected law school.
  • Licensure: Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
