Role Overview
- We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to bridge business needs with technology solutions. This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, improving business processes, managing application enhancements, and ensuring successful project delivery.
- The Business Analyst will work closely with business users, application teams, developers, and external vendors to deliver high-quality solutions while supporting business transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Conduct business process analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Perform feasibility studies and recommend appropriate technology solutions.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, and business documentation.
- Act as the primary liaison between business users, solution teams, and vendors.
Solution Delivery
- Prepare functional requirement specifications and supporting documentation.
- Support application development throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Coordinate with developers and vendors to ensure requirements are accurately implemented.
- Manage project and enhancement timelines to ensure successful delivery.
- Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables meet business expectations.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Perform System Integration Testing (SIT).
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Track defects, manage issue resolution, and ensure quality deliverables before production deployment.
Incident & Issue Management
- Investigate application issues reported by users.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective solutions.
- Work with technical teams to prepare issue analysis reports.
- Coordinate data extraction and analysis where required.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders.
- Facilitate requirement gathering workshops and project discussions.
- Manage communications between business users, internal technical teams, and external vendors.
- Escalate project risks and issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Experience in the Insurance industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience managing application implementation and enhancement projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to learn new technologies.
- Experience with Java or web technologies is an advantage.
- Ability to understand and communicate in Mandarin is an advantage.
