Role Overview
Lead and build FPT's AI-first Consulting Practice in Singapore, with full P&L ownership and mandate to establish FPT as a trusted transformation partner for banks and enterprises across APAC. This is a business-led, client-facing leadership role engaging C-suite stakeholders to drive large-scale transformation programs across cloud, data, and AI.
This is a practice-building role. In Year 1, you will personally produce key directional materials and consulting frameworks, business cases, PRDs that your team will elaborate and execute on.
Responsibilities
1. Practice Leadership
- Build and scale the consulting practice: strategy, service offerings, team, and go-to-market positioning
- Own revenue targets, margins, and hiring plans
- Create the practice's core consulting IP: assessment frameworks, modernisation playbooks, pricing models, and proposal templates
- Write product requirements (PRDs) for FPT's FleziPT AI platform based on real client demand; review offshore engineering outputs
- Set the consulting operating rhythm across presales, CoE Directors, and offshore delivery teams
- Develop thought leadership and market positioning
2. Business Development
- Build and drive a USD 20M+ pipeline (TCV) within 18–24 months across banking and enterprise transformation
- Engage C-suite stakeholders (CEO, CFO, CIO, CTO, CDO) and build lasting relationships across APAC
- Shape opportunities upstream of formal RFPs through executive advisory, paid discovery workshops, and advisory engagements
- Lead deal shaping, proposals, and contract closure
- Partner with existing Sales teams to convert current delivery pipeline into consulting-led transformation pursuits
- Develop co-sell strategy with hyperscaler partners (AWS, Microsoft)
3. Delivery Oversight
- Act as executive sponsor for key engagements — accountable for client outcomes, not day-to-day execution
- Personally quality-gate key deliverables (transformation roadmaps, architecture blueprints, business cases) before client presentation
- Manage escalations and senior client relationships
4. Market Presence
- Represent FPT at industry events and executive forums
- Author 2–3 substantive industry POVs per year on AI-driven modernisation and banking transformation
Requirements
- 15+ years in consulting / technology transformation, with 2–3+ years at MD / Partner level
- Proven personal track record selling and delivering large transformation deals (individual deal involvement SGD 5M+)
- Strong banking domain knowledge — credible at CEO/CFO level on business outcomes and at CIO/CTO level on architecture and modernisation strategy
- Demonstrated P&L ownership and commercial accountability
- T-shaped capability: sell a deal and challenge solution architects on technical design; present business ROI to a CEO and run a two-day technical workshop with CTOs
- Comfortable directing offshore delivery teams across time zones — setting direction, reviewing outputs, and maintaining quality standards
- Willingness to be hands-on: produce board-level papers, client frameworks, and directional materials yourself when the situation demands it
- Strong executive communication with board-quality writing and presentation skills
- Experience building or scaling a consulting practice or new business unit
- Familiarity with core banking platforms (Temenos, Finacle, Flexcube, Mambu), cloud-native architecture, and AI/GenAI modernisation tooling
- Knowledge of APAC regulatory environments (MAS TRM, APRA CPS 234, OJK)
- Established CxO network in APAC banking
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification
