About the job Internship - Presales

Role Overview

As a Presales Intern, you will support the presales team in technical and business activities that help shape solutions and proposals for customers. You will gain exposure to customer engagements, solution design, and internal collaboration with sales and technical teams, learning how technology solutions are positioned and communicated during the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with presales, sales, and technical teams to identify opportunities where GenAI and automation can improve presales execution and consistency.
  • Co-develop and iterate lightweight prototypes with guidance from senior team members, integrating with existing tools and workflows via APIs where needed.
  • Contribute to shared reusable assets (templates, standards, evaluation guidelines, and documentation) to support repeatable, high-quality outputs across the team.
  • Assist the presales and sales teams in gathering customer requirements and understanding business needs.
  • Support preparation of technical materials, including slides, solution briefs, and proposals for customer pitches.
  • Help prepare and deliver product demonstrations and proof-of-concept (POC) setups to showcase solution value.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to help strengthen solution positioning.
  • Attend internal and client-facing meetings with senior presales staff to observe and learn consultative engagement techniques.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and offerings that align with FPTs solution portfolio.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field (or equivalent project experience).
  • Comfortable with Python and basic software engineering practices (Git, APIs, data handling).
  • Strong interest in GenAI/LLMs and automation; hands-on experience (coursework, hackathons, side projects) is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and convert messy inputs (documents, notes, meeting outcomes) into structured outputs.
  • Curious, proactive, able to iterate quickly based on feedback.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn about consulting and solution design.

Preferred / Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity with one or more: RAG concepts, prompt engineering, evaluation methods, vector search, workflow tools.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and basic security/governance awareness.
  • Experience building small internal tools (CLI, web app, notebooks, bots).

Learning Outcomes (reframe)

  • Understand end-to-end presales workflow and how solutions are positioned during the sales cycle.
  • Practical experience building GenAI-based internal accelerators that improve presales productivity and quality.
  • Mentorship from presales and technical leads; exposure to real client artifacts (RFPs, proposals, architectures).
