Solution Architect (Aviation)

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Solution Architect with expertise in the aviation domain to lead the design, development, and deployment of innovative IT solutions for airlines, airports, and aviation service providers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define technical strategies, ensure seamless system integration, and deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Solution Design & Architecture:
  • Develop end-to-end IT solutions tailored to the aviation industry, including passenger systems, airport operations, crew and flight management systems.
  • Define architecture strategies that align with client objectives and regulatory standards (e.g., IATA, ICAO).
• Technical Leadership:
  • Guide development teams on best practices, ensuring the delivery of scalable and high-performing systems.
  • Provide technical oversight during the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization to implementation.
• System Integration:
  • Architect solutions for seamless integration between aviation platforms such as reservation systems, baggage handling, air traffic management, and maintenance systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure interoperability between legacy systems and modern technologies.
• Cloud and Digital Transformation:
  • Lead cloud migration initiatives and implement cloud-native solutions using platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Drive adoption of emerging technologies such as IoT, AI/ML, and blockchain in aviation operations.
• Compliance and Security:
  • Ensure solutions meet industry-specific compliance requirements, including data privacy and cybersecurity standards.
  • Design architectures that incorporate disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity best practices.
• Client Engagement:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting technical solutions and addressing complex challenges.
  • Support the presales team by crafting proposals, technical presentations, and proof-of-concepts.

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in solution architect role.
• Strong expertise in the aviation domain, including systems like PSS, DCS, or flight planning software.
• Proven track record of delivering complex IT solutions for airlines, airports, or aviation service providers.
• Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) and integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Kafka).
• Knowledge of aviation data formats and standards (e.g., AIDX, EDIFACT, XML).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
