Senior Solutions Architect (AWS)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Solutions Architect with expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and a strong background in modernization projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing robust cloud solutions that address complex business challenges. This role requires deep technical knowledge of AWS, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect AWS-based solutions to meet business requirements, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Lead modernization projects, migrating legacy systems to the AWS platform.
• Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, design documents, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct architectural reviews and ensure compliance with best practices and standards.
• Stay updated with the latest AWS features and advancements, and assess their potential impact on current and future projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AWS infrastructure and services.
• Mentor and coach junior architects and other technical team members.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on AWS solutions and modernization strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in solutions architecture, with a focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Proven experience in modernization projects, including migrating legacy systems to the cloud.
• Strong understanding of AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
• Proficiency in designing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional) is highly desirable.
• Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP) is a plus.
