Senior Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Solutions Architect with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a strong background in modernization projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing cutting-edge cloud solutions that address complex business challenges. This role requires deep technical knowledge of GCP, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect GCP-based solutions to meet business requirements, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Lead modernization projects, migrating legacy systems to the GCP platform.
• Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, design documents, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct architectural reviews and ensure compliance with best practices and standards.
• Stay updated with the latest GCP features and advancements, and assess their potential impact on current and future projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GCP infrastructure and services.
• Mentor and coach junior architects and other technical team members.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on GCP solutions and modernization strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in solutions architecture, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven experience in modernization projects, including migrating legacy systems to the cloud.
• Strong understanding of GCP services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
• Proficiency in designing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• GCP Solutions Architect certification (e.g., Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect) is highly desirable.
• Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
