- Strategic Business Development
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for managed services, aligned with corporate goals and growth targets.
- Identify new market segments, business opportunities, and potential clients in target industries.
- Drive revenue growth by expanding the managed services client portfolio, focusing on high-value, strategic accounts.
- Sales Leadership and Client Acquisition
- Lead end-to-end sales processes, including prospecting, solution development, and contract negotiations.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers at potential client organizations.
- Develop proposals and presentations that clearly communicate the benefits of managed services solutions to prospective clients.
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive dynamics, and potential areas of opportunity.
- Monitor and analyze competitors' managed services offerings, adjusting strategies as needed to maintain a competitive edge.
- Leverage insights to position the company as a leader in managed services within the market.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams
- Collaborate with product development and service delivery teams to design managed services offerings that meet client needs and market demands.
- Work closely with the marketing team to create compelling content, campaigns, and strategies that enhance brand awareness and generate leads.
- Partner with the finance team to develop pricing strategies and financial models that maximize profitability.
- Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of business development professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Set clear goals, KPIs, and performance metrics for the business development team, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
- Provide training and development to enhance the skills and expertise of the team.
- Client Relationship Management and Retention
- Build long-term relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Drive renewals and upsell opportunities by proactively engaging with clients to address evolving needs.
- Work closely with account management teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery for new clients.
- Revenue and Financial Management
- Develop revenue forecasts and budgets, closely monitoring performance against financial targets.
- Drive profitability by optimizing cost structures, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring efficient client acquisition.
- Report on key financial metrics and progress to executive leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA or relevant masters degree preferred).
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in managed services or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Skills:
- Proven track record in developing and closing high-value, complex sales within the managed services sector.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L management.
- Knowledge of managed services trends and industry best practices.
