About the job G04 - Business Analyst
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, managing stakeholder relationships, and collaborating closely with product managers and engineering teams to ensure the successful development and deployment. Additionally, you will handle administrative tasks to support project documentation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders
- Analyse and document business needs and processes
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications
2. Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with various agencies
- Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders and the team
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals
- Conduct regular meetings and workshops to ensure alignment and manage expectations
3. Collaboration with Product and Engineering Teams:
- Work closely with the Product Manager to define product features, enhancements, and roadmap.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure technical solutions align with business requirements.
- Assist in prioritising features and requirements based on business value and technical constraints
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
4. Administrative Tasks:
- Handle administrative paperwork related to projects and stakeholder engagements
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and user stories.
- Assist in the creation of reports, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant teams
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business analysis, AI, and public service technology
6. Technical liaison between agencies and the product team
- Serve as a technical liaison between agencies and the product team by analysing problem, and developing effective prompts for AI-powered platforms, leveraging the technical background to bridge communication gaps and enhance platform adoption.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in the public sector or technology-driven projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in requirement-gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation tools.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Basic understanding of AI, NLP, and chatbot technologies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Product platform support for agencies
- Technical knowledge preferable.
- Prompt writing skills preferable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with AI-driven platforms or chatbot solutions.
- Knowledge of government processes and public service delivery.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
