Requirements for IT Infra Engineer
- We are requesting for 1-3 augmented resources (Associate Consultant/Consultant) for a minimum of six (6) months to create comprehensive user guide documentation to configure their systems to pipe logs to Government Cyber Security Operations Centre (GCSOC).
- This documentation is crucial to enhance the self-help capabilities of Whole-of-Government (WOG) agencies, leading to more efficient and adoption of GCSOC services.
- By providing clear, detailed user guides, we anticipate a reduction in support requests, faster onboarding times for agencies, and improved standardization of practices across Government.
- The scope of work encompasses approximately 150 products, including operating systems, servers, networking security, databases monitoring, cloud native services etc.
Scope of Works /Job responsibilities
- Create clear, concise, and comprehensive user guides for WOG ICT products (Operating Systems, Servers, Firewall, Database, Cloud Service, etc) to send required logs to central monitoring service provided by GovTech.
- Develop step-by-step instructions for ICT product configuration and/or setup required, to achieve GCSOC outcome
- Conduct own research or setup to gather accurate technical information
- Ensure documentation adheres to GovTech standards and best practices
- Update and maintain existing documentation as products evolve
- Incorporate user feedback to improve guide clarity and usability
Required Skills:
- Must have experience in creating technical documentation (user guide, product guide, etc)
- Familiarity with ICT concepts, including operating systems, networking, databases, and security
- Understanding of SIEM systems and log management
- Able to setup temporary system using virtualisation technology to collect relevant information or visual contents required for documentation
- Ability to translate complex technical information into user-friendly content
- Self-reliance and ability to work independently on creating the documentation
- Knowledge of technical documentation best practices and standards (optional)
