RESPONSIBILITIES

  • User Research: Conducting user research to understand the needs, preferences, and behaviours of the target audience. This may involve interviews, surveys, usability testing, and other user-centred research methods.
  • Information Architecture: Organizing and structuring information in a way that facilitates easy navigation and findability within the digital product or system.
  • Interaction Design: Defining the behaviour and functionality of interactive elements, such as buttons, menus, forms, and other user interface components.
  • Wireframing and Prototyping: Creating low to high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize and test design concepts, interactions, and user flows.
  • User Flow Design: Mapping out the steps that users will take to accomplish specific tasks or goals within the digital product, ensuring a smooth and intuitive journey.
  • Micro interactions: Designing subtle and delightful micro interactions that provide feedback, guide users, and enhance the overall user experience.
  • Motion Design: Creating animations and transitions that improve usability, communicate changes, and add visual interest to the user interface.
  • Usability Testing: Conducting usability testing sessions to observe how users interact with the product and gather feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Accessibility: Ensuring that the interactive elements and user interface are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities, following accessibility guidelines and best practices.
  • Responsive Design: Ensuring that interactive elements and user interfaces adapt effectively to different screen sizes and devices.
  • Pattern Libraries and Design Systems: Contributing to the creation and maintenance of design pattern libraries and design systems to promote consistency and efficiency across the design and development process.
  • Iteration and Improvement: Embracing an iterative design approach, making continuous improvements based on user feedback, analytics, and usability testing result

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED

  • Minimum 3 years of experience of working as a UX/Interaction Designer.
  • Degree or Diploma in Design, Human-Computer Interaction or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • A strong portfolio that showcases a variety of projects and demonstrates your problem-solving abilities.
  • A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies to ensure that design decisions are based on user needs, preferences, and behaviours.
  • Proficient in conducting various user research techniques, such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and user persona creation, to gain insights into user motivations and pain points.
  • Proficient in using design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or other prototyping tools to create wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Possess a good understanding of visual design principles, including layout, colour theory, typography, and iconography, to create visually appealing and cohesive interfaces.
  • Knowledge of motion design principles to create smooth and engaging animations and transitions that enhance user interactions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with cross functional teams, stakeholders, and clients throughout the design process.
  • Able to analyse complex design challenges, think critically, and develop innovative solutions to improve the user experience.
  • A deep empathy for users to understand their needs, frustrations, and aspirations and to design solutions that address their pain points effectively.
  • A willingness to stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies in the field of interaction design.
  • Front end development/web development technologies such as HTML/HTML5, CSS, SCSS JavaScript, and Responsive Web Design will be an added advantage
