What the role is
- As a UI Designer in, you'll apply your design expertise to create intuitive and effective user experiences.
- You'll work independently on design projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Your role encompasses understanding user needs, designing application flows, and crafting detailed interfaces.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with users and stakeholders to gather requirements and understand pain points
- Conduct user research and present findings with actionable recommendations
- Design and deliver high-fidelity mockups and UI concepts
- Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate functionality and user flows
- Develop and maintain consistent visual design language
- Conduct user testing and iterate designs based on feedback
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure accurate design implementation
- Support the development of design pattern libraries
What you will be working on
- You will be designing for ePlanner, a web-based geospatial platform that enables planners across government agencies to visualise planning and 3D data.
- You'll focus on creating intuitive workflows for urban planning processes, helping planners perform their daily tasks efficiently across domains including land use, mobility, amenities, and infrastructure.
What we are looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience in UI design with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design projects
- Solid understanding of visual design principles and UI best practices
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Excellent proficiency in Figma and other modern design tools
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is advantageous
- Commitment to user-centred design principles
- Problem-solving mindset and analytical approach
- Scrum certification is a plus
