  • Reports to the Technical Service Manager and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in delivering services and projects.
  • The Application Infrastructure Engineer is part of the Digital Workspace for School Branch (DWSB) responsible for the overall availability and reliability of the ICT Infrastructure, network services to support Schools' functions and operations. In this role, he/she is responsible for Service Management, Incident and Problem Management, and Disaster Recovery Plans for the ICT services.
  • The Application Infrastructure Engineer works within a team to deliver network services to Schools. To participate as a member for business-specific projects, to provide network consultancy and provide technical support during project implementation.
  • The Application Infrastructure Engineer should possess knowledge on switching & routing, firewalls, IDS, IPS, DNS, DHCP, etc.
  • The Application Infrastructure Engineer will manage network infrastructure projects, which include procuring network solutions, working with vendors to ensure timely completion of implementation works, and engaging stakeholders through presentations or reports to provide status updates.
  • The Application Infrastructure Engineer manages the contractors in terms of deliverables and ensure that contract obligations and SLA are met. He/she will also continuously monitor and improve the ICT services to meet current and future needs of the Schools.
  • The Application Infrastructure Engineer will be part of the team to migrate on-premises infrastructure services to cloud.
  • The Application Infrastructure Engineer will engage Schools actively and manage expectations to enhance user's service journey.
  • The Application Infrastructure Engineer will ensure Governance and Quality requirements is adhered to, such as ensuring that the ICT services are compliant with the Technical Architecture, Security policies and Government IT Policies.

Requirement

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in designing, deploying and managing enterprise level ICT infrastructure for network services
  • Good technical knowledge of network technologies as primary practice area, with knowledge in supporting technologies such as infrastructure security
  • Proactive and dedicated individual with good leadership and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present ideas and influence stakeholders
