Key Responsibilities
Full Stack Engineering & Technical Ownership
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of complex software features and applications.
- Build scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable full-stack solutions.
- Take an active role in architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
- Ensure technical designs align with long-term product and organizational goals.
- Maintain high standards for code quality, performance, security, testing, and documentation.
GenAI & AI-Driven Development
- Design and develop AI-powered features using Generative AI technologies.
- Build solutions involving Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and related AI patterns.
- Develop and integrate AI-related backend services using TypeScript and Python.
- Evaluate and apply modern AI engineering approaches to real-world business and legal use cases.
Cloud, Infrastructure & DevOps
- Design, deploy, and maintain solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI within the SHIP-HATS ecosystem.
- Contribute to technical plans and infrastructure roadmaps.
- Ensure systems meet high standards of availability, scalability, reliability, and security.
Engineering Excellence & Leadership
- Drive modern software engineering standards, practices, and tooling.
- Promote reusable, maintainable, and well-documented engineering solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the team.
- Help strengthen a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture.
- Contribute to technical direction and continuous improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with product owners, legal professionals, vendors, technical teams, and senior leadership.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Independently manage technical dependencies, risks, and cross-team coordination.
- Navigate ambiguity, create structure, and drive initiatives forward with minimal supervision.
Requirements
Technical Experience
- At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven experience building and maintaining large-scale, high-availability software systems.
- Strong experience in modern full-stack web application architecture and development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for frontend development.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Python for backend and AI-related development.
- Hands-on experience in Generative AI development, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI-powered application features.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud services.
- Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
- Experience working within the SHIP-HATS ecosystem is highly desirable.
