Overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support & Application Support Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on exposure to IT support, application maintenance, and project coordination within a dynamic enterprise environment. The intern will work closely with experienced engineers to support daily IT operations, maintain internal applications, and participate in technology improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
IT Support
- Provide Level 1 technical support for end-users through onsite, remote, email, and ticketing channels.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including device setup, user account creation, Microsoft 365 configuration, and access provisioning.
- Support the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of laptops, desktops, printers, Microsoft 365 applications, VPNs, and office IT equipment.
- Assist in managing IT assets, including inventory tracking, software installation, warranty records, and equipment allocation.
- Support routine IT maintenance, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Work with internal users and vendors to resolve day-to-day technical issues.
Application Support and Development
- Support Application Management activities, including incident resolution, service requests, application enhancements, and user support.
- Assist in developing and maintaining internal applications and tools (e.g., Estimation Tool).
- Perform basic bug fixing, testing, deployment, and technical documentation under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting application issues and documenting resolutions.
Project and PMO Support
- Support IT infrastructure and application projects by coordinating project documentation, timelines, meeting minutes, action items, and status updates.
- Assist with project tracking, reporting, and stakeholder follow-ups.
- Participate in process improvement and technology initiatives across the IT team.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, or programming concepts.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or SQL is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing, or debugging is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
