Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst (BA) with strong exposure to the banking and financial services domain to support requirements gathering, process analysis, solution design, and end‑to‑end delivery of technology initiatives. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience working with business stakeholders, technology teams, and operations to translate business needs into detailed functional specifications.
This role requires excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, along with strong understanding of banking products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage business stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements, use cases, and user journeys.
- Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies for new features or change requests.
- Translate business needs into clear and detailed Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), User Stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Document current and target-state processes using BPMN, flowcharts, and operating models.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and simplification.
- Collaborate with architects and product owners to define solution options aligned with technology strategy.
- Work closely with business units such as Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Operations.
- Coordinate with Development, QA, DevOps, and Data teams during solution design and build phases.
- Facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, backlog grooming, and sprint planning sessions.
- Develop test scenarios, test cases, and assist in UAT planning and execution.
- Validate data migration, integration flows, and end-to-end product functionality.
- Support business readiness, training material creation, and production rollout activities.
- Ensure requirements adhere to regulatory frameworks such as: MAS TRM, AML/CFT, GDPR, and internal audit controls.
- Capture non-functional requirements such as security, data privacy, performance, resilience, and auditability.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within banking or financial services.
- Knowledge of banking products and processes:
- Retail Banking (Accounts, Payments, Loans, Cards)
- Corporate/Transaction Banking
- Treasury & Markets
- Risk, Compliance, and Regulatory Reporting
- Proficiency in writing BRDs/FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflow diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, BPMN tools, and SQL (nice to have).
Preferred Experience
- Experience in digital transformation programs, core banking upgrades, workflow automation, customer onboarding (KYC), data initiatives, or regulatory projects.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and hybrid SDLC models.
- Experience working in multi-country or multi-entity banking environments.
- Exposure to integration technologies: APIs, microservices, data pipelines.

Certifications (Nice to Have)
- Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
- Agile certifications: CSM, CSPO, SAFe, BA/Scrum Master
- ITIL Foundation
