I14 - Middleware Engineer (041)

Responsibilities

• Batch Operation Support to BAU operation and project for ActiveBatch, GoAnywhere and Tectia etc (40% to 60%)
• Perform batch job deployment
• Perform batch job configure update
• Perform batch job execution and recovery
• Participate and actively contribute in solution discussion for batch requirement (20% to 30%)
• Engineer to leverage on platform and available capability to optimize operation efficiency (20% to 30%)
• Support application deployment (10% to 20%)
• All the support activities shall strictly follow established process
• Follow the duty roaster to standby for out-of-office hour support
• Support 24x7 operations when required, including:
  a. Production incident resolution
  b. Application deployment to production environment
  c. Platform patch in all environments
  d. Project cutover support
  e. Important service request upon manager approval

Requirements

• Degree or diploma holder in Computer Engineering / Science, Information Technology or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in batch operation support or equivalent
• IT related certification is preferred
• Experience with ActiveBatch or similar batch scheduler platform
• Experience with GoAnywhere or similar sftp platform
• Shell scripting or programming knowledge or SQL is an added experience
• Familiar with Windows, Unix, Linux
• Understanding of automation concept
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
• Good interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
• Strong advocate of standards and able to challenge status quo with new and emerging technology
