Position Overview
We are seeking a specialised Helpdesk Support Engineer to provide administration support for IT systems related to invoicing, billing, budgeting, and procurement processes. This role supports financial and procurement operations by ensuring system reliability, data accuracy, and user support across enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Systems Support
- Provide first-line technical support for ERP, accounting, and financial management systems.
- Troubleshoot issues related to invoice processing, billing systems, accounts payable/receivable modules, and financial reporting tools.
- Support budget management systems and month-end closing procedures.
Procurement & Vendor Management Systems
- Assist stakeholders with procurement workflows, purchase orders, and vendor management processes.
- Support and troubleshoot e-procurement workflows, approval processes, quotations, and invoicing.
- Maintain contract management systems and assist budget managers with document attachments, validation, and invoice reconciliation.
Data Integrity & Process Support
- Monitor data accuracy across financial systems and support reconciliation activities.
- Assist with system integrations between finance, procurement, and business applications.
- Support user access management while ensuring proper segregation of duties and compliance.
System Administration & Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including user account management, system configuration, and security updates.
- Coordinate with vendors and IT teams for system upgrades, patches, and performance optimisation.
- Maintain system documentation and user guides for financial and procurement processes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum O Level certification with at least 3 years of practical IT support experience in administration, finance, and/or procurement systems.
- Experience supporting IT systems within Singapore Government Ministries and/or Agencies.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles, procurement processes, and financial workflows is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle Financials, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar enterprise applications.
Essential Competencies
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial data.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with finance teams, procurement staff, and vendors.
- Understanding of business processes related to procure-to-pay and order-to-cash cycles.
- Ability to prioritise support requests based on business impact and urgency.
