M63 - Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to build and deliver digital products in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

This is a highly hands-on engineering role focused on turning ambiguous ideas and user needs into working web products quickly, learning from real-world feedback, and continuously iterating towards scalable, production-ready solutions.

You will work across the entire technology stack, from frontend and backend development to databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and deployment. You will also work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and operate web products end-to-end across frontend, backend, databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and deployment.
• Translate product ideas, business requirements, and user needs into working software quickly.
• Develop prototypes and production-ready solutions and continuously improve them based on user feedback, data, and evidence.
• Make pragmatic architecture and technology decisions that balance speed, quality, maintainability, scalability, and technical risk.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and stakeholders from discovery through development, release, and iteration.
• Establish fit-for-purpose engineering foundations including automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and deployment practices.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and continuously improve application reliability and performance.
• Take ownership of technical outcomes across the full product lifecycle.
• Contribute reusable engineering patterns, components, tools, and practices that help the wider team deliver more efficiently.
• Maintain appropriate technical documentation and promote strong software engineering practices across the team.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of hands-on Software Engineering experience.
• Recent experience actively developing and shipping production-grade software.
• Strong and recent hands-on experience with Node.js and the modern Node.js ecosystem.
• Proven experience building web applications end-to-end, covering frontend, backend, databases, APIs, infrastructure, and deployment.
• Strong understanding of modern frontend and backend development practices.
• Strong understanding of modern web application architecture and system design.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure and cloud-hosted applications.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and modern software engineering practices.
• Ability to make sound technical and architectural decisions with appropriate consideration for scalability, maintainability, and delivery speed.
• Comfortable working independently within ambiguous or rapidly evolving problem spaces.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate ideas into practical technical solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience working within startups, innovation teams, digital product teams, or other fast-moving engineering environments.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development, including AI coding agents, code generation, or automated code review.
• Proven track record of taking a product from idea or prototype through to production.
• Experience rapidly building and validating prototypes or Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
• Experience working within cross-functional Agile teams alongside Product Managers and Designers.
• Experience establishing engineering practices for new products or greenfield projects.
