G13 - Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python backend applications to receive, process, and analyse IFC files.
• Develop AI-powered development pipelines to implement automated checks on 3D building models.
• Review, audit, test, and refactor AI-generated code to ensure quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Deploy applications on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and domain experts to translate regulatory requirements into reliable technical solutions.
• Continuously improve application performance, maintainability, and deployment processes.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python and backend application development.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted or AI-powered software development workflows.
• Familiarity with AWS services and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices, including building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitLab.
• Understanding of, or willingness to learn, Building Information Modelling (BIM) concepts and IFC standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional product team.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge or experience in computational geometry.
• Experience working with BIM, IFC files, CAD, 3D models, or geometry-processing systems.
• Experience developing systems that process large or complex 3D datasets.
