About the Opportunity
Bryant Staffing Solutions is partnering with a nationally recognized professional services firm seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join its Methods, Credits & Incentives (MCI) practice, focused on Research & Development (R&D) tax credits.
In this role, you will guide clients through the complexities of federal and state R&D tax regulations, ensuring compliance while identifying valuable tax-saving opportunities. You will lead engagements, supervise project teams, and collaborate with leadership on both technical delivery and business development initiatives.
This is a hybrid opportunity offering flexibility and exposure to a diverse client base across industries such as technology, life sciences, manufacturing, construction, real estate, hospitality, and nonprofit.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage R&D tax credit studies from planning through delivery
- Conduct on-site client visits, facility tours, and technical interviews
- Analyze financial data, prepare cost schedules, and perform tax computations
- Research federal and state R&D tax regulations and relevant case law
- Review and amend tax returns as needed
- Oversee multiple engagements to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
- Support proposal development and contribute to business growth initiatives
- Mentor and supervise junior team members
- Travel to client sites as required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Active CPA license or active JD/Attorney license (EA certification not accepted)
- 6-10 years of experience in R&D tax credits (Fixed Asset or Tax Accounting Methods experience also considered)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in public accounting or consulting
- Prior project management experience
- Strong understanding of federal and select state R&D tax regulations
- Experience amending tax returns
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel and work additional hours when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or related quantitative field
- Experience serving clients in technology, manufacturing, life sciences, construction, hospitality, or nonprofit sectors
