Compensation: $90,000 – $96,000 / year

Annual Bonus: 10%

The Opportunity

Are you a developer who thrives on the manufacturing floor rather than just behind a desk? We are looking for a Manufacturing IT Developer III to take full ownership of our internal systems. In this role, you won't just be writing code; you will be the bridge between our production machinery and our data systems. From conception to post-implementation support, you will lead projects that directly impact our mechanical and manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Development: Design and maintain applications using the .NET framework, with a heavy emphasis on VB.NET, ADO.NET, and ASP.NET.
  • Data Integration: Lead PLC data acquisition efforts to ensure seamless communication between shop floor hardware and enterprise software.
  • Database Programming: Utilize advanced T-SQL to manage complex data sets and manufacturing metrics.
  • Project Ownership: Take the lead on new initiatives, managing the entire lifecycle from initial requirements gathering through to deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the manufacturing and mechanical teams to identify bottlenecks and develop custom software solutions.

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Education: BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
  • Technical Mastery: * Extensive experience with Wonderware software tools.
    • Proven proficiency in PLC data acquisition.
    • Strong .NET programming skills (VB.NET, ADO.NET, ASP.NET).
    • Advanced T-SQL programming capabilities.
  • Attributes: A "can-do" attitude and the self-motivation to manage projects independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves)

  • Experience with Kepware or other PLC communication vehicles.
  • Familiarity with Classic ASP.
  • Experience developing for or troubleshooting hand-held Zebra computers/scanners.
