About the Role

A leading global manufacturing enterprise is seeking an experienced, proactive HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support operations in Abilene, TX. In this onsite role, you will partner directly with plant leadership and floor teammates to drive talent strategies, optimize operational workflows, and champion a strong safety and teammate-centric culture.

As a strategic and operational partner, you will lead high-impact HR projects end-to-end, mentor junior HR staff, and continuously refine plant operating procedures to support business growth and workforce stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Collaborate with plant leadership on strategic operational roadmaps. Translate overarching business objectives into actionable HR execution plans, monitor key metrics (retention, turnover, headcount), and adjust tactics as needed.
  • Manufacturing HR Generalist Leadership: Oversee core HR functions across the plant lifecycle, including recruitment, interviewing, structured onboarding, teammate relations, performance management, and employee retention initiatives.
  • Project Leadership: Own complex, high-impact HR projects end-to-end with limited oversight—defining scope, establishing key milestones, and ensuring successful operational outcomes.
  • Talent Development & Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior HR professionals on the team. Delegate responsibilities based on skill set, conduct quality assurance on HR deliverables, and foster a continuous learning environment.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Analyze workflow inefficiencies and leverage data-driven insights to recommend and implement process enhancements and automated tools.
  • SOP Redesign & Innovation: Evaluate existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), adapt precedents, and redesign workflows to address emerging business requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Stakeholder Relations & Communication: Build strong, trust-based relationships with cross-functional leaders, plant managers, shift supervisors, and teammates on the shop floor.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Manufacturing Experience: Proven experience supporting a manufacturing, plant, or industrial operating environment.
  • Generalist HR Expertise: Hands-on experience across the entire HR lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, teammate retention, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Plant Operations Alignment: Demonstrated success partnering directly with plant leaders, operations managers, and front-line production teammates.
  • Problem-Solving & Data Acumen: Strong track record of identifying operational gaps, using data to drive decision-making, and updating SOPs.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $120,000 – $130,000 / year (commensurate with experience)
  • Variable Compensation: 15% target annual bonus
  • Relocation Package: Full relocation eligibility and assistance provided
