Position Overview
A leading healthcare organization in Southeast Alabama is seeking an Electrophysiology Cardiologist to join its cardiovascular team. This physician will provide expert EP services while also helping guide clinic operations, quality initiatives, and strategic growth efforts. The role offers a blend of patient care, leadership responsibilities, and program development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive electrophysiology cardiology care in a clinic setting
  • Partner with administrative leadership to support operational planning and clinical strategy
  • Help determine service offerings, equipment needs, and clinic workflow improvements
  • Develop and maintain patient care policies, protocols, and best practices
  • Monitor quality metrics and support performance improvement initiatives
  • Build strong referral relationships with physicians and community partners
  • Address physician-related operational concerns and improve communication across teams
  • Support budgeting, financial planning, and departmental growth initiatives
  • Participate in committee meetings and leadership discussions related to clinic operations
  • Maintain strong collaboration with medical staff and hospital leadership

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology with Electrophysiology specialization
  • Active Alabama medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Must be eligible for medical staff credentialing
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to perform procedures based on credentialed competencies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous electrophysiology practice experience
  • Prior leadership experience within a physician practice or hospital setting
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives
  • Background in program growth and strategic planning
