Four Squared Solutions is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant for an opportunity with a finance and accounting team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements. 

Overview of Responsibilities:

General Accounting Functions:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and complete.
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Payment Processing

Reconciliation & Documentation:

• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation to support audits and internal controls

Financial Reporting:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Prepare journal entries and post them to the general ledger as needed.

Month-End Close:

• Support month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary financial data for closing procedures.

Other Duties as Assigned
In addition to the primary responsibilities listed above, the role may include other general accounting duties as needed, which may be subject to change based on business needs.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or professional services environment.
• Advanced with accounting software QuickBooks
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).

• Solid understanding of general accounting principles (GAAP).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus):

• Experience with accounting software QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.
• Knowledge of payroll processing or HRIS systems.
• Understanding of local Florida tax regulations and compliance.
