This role is primarily responsible for complex domestic tax matters for company clients. This position is open to candidates with a strong tax foundation in any area. To qualify for this opportunity, the candidate will have 10+ years of experience in Tax. Preference is given to candidates with an active CPA license and previous public accounting experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Performs technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations of any complexity.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in discipline or industry.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree.
- CPA license is a plus.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States full-time.
Essential Functions
- Performs all tasks related to client service and sees that assignments are accomplished within budgeted time.
- Assumes full responsibility for larger tax returns and delegates to the various tax preparers as deemed necessary.
- Build and maintain good client relationships.
Experience
- Minimum ten years of experience in public accounting.
- Extensive experience reviewing Individual, corporate, and Partnership tax returns.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong skills and experience with Word, Outlook, Excel, and QuickBooks.
- Experience with CCH Pro FX tax software.
- Demonstrates excellence in most advanced technical skills.
- Keep current on applicable professional standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work overtime and weekend hours during peak busy periods to meet deadlines and partner and client expectations.
