Operational Risk & Excellence Supervisor

 Job Description:

Our client is a progressive diversified and sustainable business group in the region providing an outstanding experience in the Automotive and Associated Businesses through superior value products and services in partnership with some of the world's leading brands.

They are looking for a proficient Operational Risk and Excellence Supervisor to support the Risk Manager in implementing a Risk & Operational Excellence Framework. The focus will be on improving existing processes and systems across various business units through effective risk management and change management initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in developing and implementing projects related to risk and operational excellence.
  • Identify and analyze opportunities for process improvement and re-engineering to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate risks, and improve product/service quality.
  • Perform project management tasks, and analytics, and measure progress to ensure milestones are met and deliverables are achieved.
  • Train, mentor, and guide team members from various business units in new processes and operational excellence practices.
  • Supervise and maintain the departmental Risk Registers, including updates on remediation actions from business units.
  • Provide internal expertise and guidance on the Operational Excellence framework, supporting cross-functional teams.
  • Review and confirm any process changes within the ERP system, ensuring compliance with information security and process controls.
  • Work on special projects, and conduct risk and control gap analyses.
  • Support the development and improvement of the company's operational risk methodology.
  • Perform periodic tests to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls within existing business processes as part of the operational risk management framework.
  • Draft and update end-to-end process flowcharts for various departments based on a thorough understanding of the company's operations and key processes.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in Risk Management, Operational Excellence, and Process Improvement.
  • MBA, Mechanical Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related educational field.
  • Accounting/Finance calibers must have Audit/Risk specialization.
  • Current or previous experience in the Automotive industry is a MUST.
  • Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Operational/Enterprise Risk Management Certifications are a PLUS.
  • Proficiency in operational risk management framework and continuous improvement concepts.
