Position: Commercial Director (Tourism Sector)
In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth within the tourism sector by developing and executing commercial strategies that align with the companys long-term objectives. This position requires a results-driven individual who excels in strategic thinking, people management, and revenue generation, with a strong background in operations and market analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Strategy & Business Growth:
- Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aimed at increasing revenue and expanding market share within the tourism sector.
- Lead the development of pricing strategies for tourism packages, ensuring competitiveness while maximizing profitability.
- Monitor market trends and adjust business strategies accordingly to stay ahead of industry developments.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to set ambitious sales targets and regularly review performance against these goals.
- Ensure that all commercial activities adhere to relevant regulations and industry standards.
2. Financial Management & Revenue Growth:
- Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and financial forecasting to achieve revenue targets.
- Analyze market data to identify growth opportunities and provide detailed reports to senior management on performance metrics and KPIs.
- Drive gross profit growth by managing costs effectively and exploring new revenue streams.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align efforts towards meeting and exceeding financial objectives.
3. People Management & Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Design and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities, particularly in sales effectiveness and customer service.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction by developing innovative package offerings and ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, and partners to negotiate favorable contracts and enhance the companys market presence.
4. Operations & Process Optimization:
- Oversee the operational aspects of tourism offerings, ensuring that service delivery meets both customer expectations and company standards.
- Collaborate with the operations team to optimize processes and improve efficiency, ensuring a seamless experience for customers.
- Continuously innovate and refine package offerings to stay competitive in the market and attract a diverse range of customers.
Mandatory Requirement:
- A proven track record in the tourism sector is essential, with significant experience in commercial growth and revenue management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business administration, tourism management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Extensive experience in package pricing, revenue management, and market analysis within the tourism sector.
