We are partnering with a key player in the tourism sector to identify an experienced Commercial Director. This role is crucial for driving the businesss commercial strategies, growing revenue streams, and ensuring operational efficiency.

Position: Commercial Director (Tourism Sector)

In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth within the tourism sector by developing and executing commercial strategies that align with the companys long-term objectives. This position requires a results-driven individual who excels in strategic thinking, people management, and revenue generation, with a strong background in operations and market analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Commercial Strategy & Business Growth:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aimed at increasing revenue and expanding market share within the tourism sector.
  • Lead the development of pricing strategies for tourism packages, ensuring competitiveness while maximizing profitability.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust business strategies accordingly to stay ahead of industry developments.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to set ambitious sales targets and regularly review performance against these goals.
  • Ensure that all commercial activities adhere to relevant regulations and industry standards.

2. Financial Management & Revenue Growth:

  • Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and financial forecasting to achieve revenue targets.
  • Analyze market data to identify growth opportunities and provide detailed reports to senior management on performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Drive gross profit growth by managing costs effectively and exploring new revenue streams.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align efforts towards meeting and exceeding financial objectives.

3. People Management & Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Design and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities, particularly in sales effectiveness and customer service.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction by developing innovative package offerings and ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, and partners to negotiate favorable contracts and enhance the companys market presence.

4. Operations & Process Optimization:

  • Oversee the operational aspects of tourism offerings, ensuring that service delivery meets both customer expectations and company standards.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to optimize processes and improve efficiency, ensuring a seamless experience for customers.
  • Continuously innovate and refine package offerings to stay competitive in the market and attract a diverse range of customers.

Mandatory Requirement:

  • A proven track record in the tourism sector is essential, with significant experience in commercial growth and revenue management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, tourism management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Extensive experience in package pricing, revenue management, and market analysis within the tourism sector.
