Financial Analyst

 Job Description:

We are partnering with a distinguished EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Contracting) Group based in the GCC region. With a steadfast dedication to sustainable development, they've forged strong partnerships with the public sector to drive progress in the energy and infrastructure domains

They are currently looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join their team in KSA and play a pivotal role in providing critical financial insights and analysis to optimize project performance and ensure fiscal responsibility. 

Responsibilities:

1- Strategic Planning and Analysis:

  • Lead all activities to achieve financial close, overseeing financial and legal aspects.
  • Update and develop scenarios within financial models.
  • Assess and structure projects/bids to optimize commercial financing opportunities.
  • Analyze financial models, create investor scenarios, and assess project IRR and cash flows.
  • Participate in financing workstreams, aiming for lower interest rates.
  • Support senior management in obtaining EBL facility.

2- Financial Management and Budgeting:

  • Prepare templates for raising funds through debt and equity.
  • Assist in negotiations with banks and project sponsors for debt and equity raise.
  • Prepare and oversee annual budgets and forecasts for PPP projects and other business units.
  • Ensure expenditures are authorized and supported by proper documentation.
  • Conduct basic financial analysis (e.g., budget variance) to support information needs.

3- Project Coordination and Management:

  • Monitor and enforce adherence to agreed-upon timelines.
  • Manage transaction advisors' deliverables according to scope.
  • Ensure project delivery within agreed timelines.
  • Lead negotiations with clients, third-party contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Manage the insurance aspect of the project alongside senior colleagues.

4- Legal Compliance and Documentation:

  •  Review legal documentation about projects.
  • Review financial documents for accuracy and compliance.

5- Communication and Reporting:

  • Present weekly updates to Senior Management, highlighting associated risks.
  • Provide insights on project-related documents, reports, and agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Finance or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project finance.
  • PPP project experience is a MUST.
  • Ability to review and negotiate financing term sheets.
  • Understanding of financial statements and key accounting principles.
  • Ability to build financial models from scratch.
  • Understanding of the process of taking the project from Bid award to financial close.
  • Understanding of different debt terms (balloon, bullet, amortizing, soft mini-perm).
