We are partnering with a prominent full-fledged Energy Systems Integrator and provider operating extensively across Africa and the Middle East. They are currently seeking a Chief Accountant to play a pivotal role in their expansion project to West Africa.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all financial operations of the organization, ensuring adherence to international accounting standards.
• Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial statements, budgets, cash flow statements, and other financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Conduct comprehensive financial forecasting, including risk analysis, and provide strategic financial advice to support decision-making.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements, liaising with auditors and regulatory bodies as necessary.
• Supervise day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll processes.
• Optimize financial processes and systems, including the implementation and utilization of ERP systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor and manage inventory and procurement processes to optimize working capital and ensure cost-effective operations.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the accounting and finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, Master's is a PLUS.
• CPA, or CMA certifications are a PLUS.
  
• Minimum 5 Years in Accounting Management, within the energy or infrastructure sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English, French, and Arabic preferred.
