About the job Azure Cloud Support Engineer
As an Azure Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting Microsoft Azure environments on a day-to-day basis. The role involves hands-on work with Azure App Services, Azure Databases, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Azure Virtual Machines, and Azure Virtual Networks (VNets) to ensure system stability, performance, and availability.
You will actively perform logs checking and analysis using Azure monitoring tools to identify issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement fixes. You will also manage and troubleshoot IAM roles and access permissions using Azure Active Directory and RBAC to ensure secure and appropriate access.
This role is client-facing, and you will communicate directly with clients to understand issues, provide regular updates, and explain resolutions clearly. You will take ownership of assigned Azure incidents from start to finish, following support processes while collaborating with internal teams when required.
This position is ideal for candidates with 1–2 years of Azure experience who want to build strong troubleshooting skills, gain exposure to real production environments, and grow in a cloud operations and support role.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide end-to-end support and troubleshooting for Azure environments
Support and troubleshoot:
Azure App Services
Azure Databases (Azure SQL, Managed Instances, etc.)
Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
Azure Virtual Machines
Azure Virtual Networks (VNets, NSGs)
Perform logs checking and analysis using:
Azure Monitor
Log Analytics
Application Insights
Manage and troubleshoot IAM roles and access control using Azure Active Directory (RBAC)
Identify root causes, implement fixes, and recommend preventive actions
Communicate directly with clients to:
Gather issue details
Provide timely updates
Explain resolutions and best practices
Maintain documentation, SOPs, and incident reports
Escalate complex issues when required while retaining ownership of resolution
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1–2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
Practical exposure to:
Azure App Services
Azure Databases
Azure Virtual Desktop
Azure Virtual Machines
Azure Virtual Networks (VNets)
Basic understanding of IAM roles, RBAC, and Azure Active Directory
Experience or familiarity with Azure logs checking and monitoring tools
Understanding of networking fundamentals (VNets, NSGs, DNS)
Good communication skills and confidence in client interactions
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks
Good to Have
Azure certification (AZ-900, AZ-104)
Basic knowledge of PowerShell or Azure CLI
Experience with ticketing systems and incident management
Exposure to Azure security best practices
