Senior/Lead Data Engineer

Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Senior / Lead Data Engineer to architect and scale multi-cloud data ecosystems while mentoring the data engineering team. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive data platform modernization, governance, and advanced analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and design end-to-end data solutions across Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives (on-prem cloud or single multi-cloud).

• Define data modeling, governance, and cost optimization standards across environments.

• Collaborate with solution architects, AI/ML, and business teams to enable data-driven decision-making.

• Ensure data reliability, observability, and scalability across the enterprise platform.

• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers to build technical depth within the team.

• Stay ahead of industry trends such as Data Mesh, Lakehouse, and AI-integrated data architectures.

Core Skills & Qualifications:

• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python (PySpark, SparkSQL).

• Deep understanding of data lakes, lakehouses, and data warehouse architectures.

• Proven experience integrating Salesforce, ERP systems (NetSuite, Dynamics), and API-based data sources.

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, data security, and compliance best practices.

• Excellent architectural design skills and a leadership mindset with the ability to influence and mentor.
